| So, i'm watching Food Network with Jenny and Iron Chef special comes on with Rachel Ray and blah blah... I didn't pay too much attention, but Jenny filled me in on the hate that has accumulated for the cook, Rachel Ray. I was actually confused about this, because I was like "rachel seems like a nice person, why would people hate on her?" Then I went and googled "rachel ray hate"... and to my astonishment, every single link on the first few search results were titled in someway or another "Rachel Ray hate" or "Rachel SUX", etc. I visited one of these sites to see if there was anything with substance that would actually constitute some bit of "hate" to Rachel. Results? None... majority of people seemingly "hate" her or think lowly of her because of her personality, or maybe how her food looks at the end of the show... hmm, well thinking over those remarks about her only make me think lowly of those people who actually took the time and effort to construct such a forum to express their disgust for Rachel... and for what? Because her food doesn't look as nice, because she makes weird noises, because she might fumble around or whatever! Not that I'm an expert in the food network or whatever, but I guess they (the ppl associated with the "Rachel Ray Sucks" communities) failed to realize that her show's goal is to cook a meal in 30minutes or spend $40 in a day eating out. In my opinion, both goals are very realistic and useful for today's day in age where its is not uncommon for both husband and wife (or husband & husband/wife & wife) to work, thus decreasing the amount of energy at the end of the day to cook up dinner for kids, family or whomever, not to forget time!!! (hence the 30minute, huh?) Anyway, there is a lot of things to say about the people who take time out from the world to funnel their disapproval for a person and to try to bring them down by getting others to agree with them (hmm, i guess that's what i'm sorta doing... but this is justified!!! :D, right?). Anyway, there's much more going on in the world that rachel ray not making the presentation of the meal look good (dude, it's going into my stomach anyaway, it doesn't matter what it looks like... IT'S A MEAL!!!). The reaosn it may not look good is probaly she cooks it within the time of the show?! Unlike other shows where they show you how to make it and have another plate already prepared and readied for showcasing. C'mon people!!! People needs to quit kickin' the lady and get over her success or whatever she has that is envied by them! Yes, I'm a hypocrite for "hating" on the people that hate, but, ehh, whatever. Sorry my post-since-forever had to be a venting post. Hope everyone is cool!!! Snow will be ready SOON!!! More weather please, Mother Nature :D
I'm good... still trying to find a way to become filthy rich in 1day... still driving the same ol' car (because I love that machine!!!)... still dating the same lovely girl... still living with my parents (at least my perm. addr is)... still shopping and wearing Wal-Mart Faded Glory clothes (yeah, son!)... still regretting not keeping in touch with friends :'( |
